It seems the last thing on your mind
Is that the day holds something special
Something holy, not superficial?
So here’s to Jesus Christ who saved our lives
It’s been a yearly habit for Christian like me, to celebrate a grand party for Christmas. A time where kids and kids at heart expect their gifts under the Christmas tree or inside the socks they hung for Santa to fill.
But what if ribbons and bows didn’t mean a thing?
What if, there wasn’t really anyone to send you gifts. Will we still look forward for Christmas to arrive…
If you ask me, I’d bluntly say yes. Because right now, I’ve proven that indeed Christmas isn’t about giving and receiving material things. It is about sharing your life to others and existing under God’s grace to be a grace to others as well. It doesn’t matter if you give the most expensive gift as gold and glamour, or the simplest gift like a greeting or even a smile. What’s important is that we reflect that all of these things are done in the mighty name of God our creator.
Christmas is the season of giving and of love but more than this it is the time that we look back on all the sacrifices God gave for our mere existence.
Have a Merry Christmas everyone!
